Our Mission
When Jesus left our world, He left it an entirely different place. The question must be asked "If our church disappeared, would anyone notice?" A church can be a difference in our community. The people of the church can be a powerful agent for God.
We preach the transformational message of the gospel, in light to a world needing a map home. God has called all peoples to His eternal home. We find hope and forgiveness in a God that never stops loving us.
Our mission is to foster a deeper relationship with an eternal God. To bring God's love to our community. To show the world that God's way is the best way. That we Christians are broken, but not despised of God. Through a community of believers we are stronger, healthier, and more able to meet the needs of others.
Troy Wallace began his ministry journey at Walla Walla University in 2014, marking the beginning of a life-changing shift after a profound encounter with God. He left his former life behind to start anew and discovered a passion for his Bible classes and felt God calling him to pursue a degree in Theology. During his studies, Troy met McKenzie Cosaert and the two fell in love.
As graduation approached, submitting to God’s guidance, Troy received a call to ministry from the Oregon Conference. Troy and McKenzie were married and eager to begin their pastoral journey. God expanded their family with the births of Jemma in 2021, Declan in 2023 and Maya in 2025. Troy and McKenzie’s first assignment was at the Tualatin SDA Church, along with an associate role at the Tabernacle SDA Church in the Portland area.
After about a year serving these communities, a new opportunity arose when Crosspoint SDA Church needed a pastor, and they felt God’s call to step into that role. In 2024, another opportunity for ministry came when Hillsboro SDA Church sought a pastor. Joyfully, they accepted the additional role and have been blessed to pastor both Crosspoint SDA Church and Hillsboro SDA Church to this day. Troy is grateful to witness how God has guided him through tremendous change and growth, humbling him with the responsibilities He has entrusted to him, and continually using Troy to serve and build His kingdom.
Christopher Camacho grew up in a non-religious home, searching for lasting happiness. His journey led him to the Bible, where he chose to surrender his life to Jesus Christ, experiencing the deep joy that comes from living in faith. This transformation ignited his passion to share the gospel and guide others into a personal relationship with Christ.
A graduate of Mission College of Evangelism, he has spent the last 22 years dedicated to evangelism and preparing people for the Lord’s soon return. Christopher lives in Oregon, with his wife, Gladys, and their family.
Our Christian Faith
We are a Christian church called the Seventh-day Adventist. We take our roots from the Protestant Reformation. Even though our church was organized in 1863, we continue in the spirit of Martin Luther to pursue truth in Jesus. We believe the Bible is our guide in all things, and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. If you want to know more about our faith, please click on the link below. If you have any questions at all, feel free to email us. God Bless.
